I am a Studio Ghibli fanatic. I absolutely love the magic of all the films, and I felt seen when watching the characters love their lives; it was as though they were me in another world. Learning more about Miyazaki himself and seeing how his life and his experiences fed into his works will be really interesting. I’m exited to see the genius behind Studio Ghibli.

I am so so so excited. I’ve wanted to read this book for so long! Already in love with Augustus Waters and I just KNOW something horrible is going to happen. I really don’t want Gus to get hurt….

So engaging! I love the quick pace and the jumps between time. The humor is just right for me too.

I am so invested now 😭 The switching between present and past is slightly confusing (and the past is clearly what the author is more interested in at the moment), but it helps paint a larger picture of the world and the current events.
