what the fuck? genuinely one of the best unsettlingly relatable and emotional things i’ve ever read. i’ve never lived an original experience apparently, but i kinda already knew that after reading the Past Lives review. the grandpa bit in chapter 3 was genuinely so fucking real and something i’ve really struggled to put into words. crazy good so far

has really helped with writers block mainly because i plagiarize everything i can. really gets me through the winter kerfuffle. Marx reminds me of Jenna and Browning so much, and i see so much me, katie, and autumn in these pages.

okay i just finished the 5th arc, and still don’t care about mark. starting to care about atom eve. but every other charecter particularly Monster Girl, William, and Deborah are all far more interesting and have more personality than mark. Marks only traits are that he loves his mom and wants to take care of her, and that he has good grades.

just finished the second arc and it’s… okay? like it’s campy and the art is kinda bad and the writing is choppy, i’m gonna stick with it but aside from the colors i’m not seeing why this is such a famous and beloved series?

i’m on chapter 12 and I REFUSE to believe Will is a villian. Prince Robot IV? Yes. Stalk? Yes. Gwendolyn? Kinda. but i will NEVER call Will and Lying Cat villains. Also Barr is everything i aspire to be he’s such a king.

if the first thought i had after reading the first issue/chapter was “i’m gonna have to force myself to read this” that’s not a great start, hopefully it changes

i’m almost finished with this one. i’m on the third and final act! so far this is neat, obviously cliff chiangs artwork is a sight to behold, i love the way the gifs are written to create this metaphor for humanity, family, and an unforgivingly political criticism of the way we organize government. i’ve read better but it’s still pretty good so far
