It’s pretty dry and hard to read. I mean I love Hip
Hop, but not as much as Questlove. His journey in telling his story and what he knows is something you really need to have the mood and mindset set to receive the info. I didn’t and haven’t been able to set that mode.

This felt like a really opinionated, yet entertaining high school book report.

This book was good. I won’t say it was exhilarating or that it was a book I couldn’t put down because it wasn’t. I actually put the book down quite a few times. It took me like 2-3 months to read because it got boring.

Yeah like I think I was going with a mindset of Soprano vibes, but nah son! Nothing like Sopranos. This joint was boooooring.

At this point of the book I’m conflicted if I like this person or not. She seems like she had a hard life, but not really. She also seems like she seeks for a man’s approval, but she doesn’t. She kind of realizes she should have made this trip alone, but doesn’t want to be alone. Her dude just told her he doesn’t know if she wants to marry her or not and ruins her trip. The use of adjectives is annoying.
