Odysseus is a badass dude.

"He that fights fares no better than he that does not. Coward and hero are held in equal honor, and death deals like measure to him who works and him who is idle." Achilles, when refusing to fight for Agamemnon.

Sooooo many Americans feel like this about career, love and life right now. Just like Achilles shouldn't have yielded to rage, we shouldn't either.

Calls Tydeus a bitch for running, then [Prince Hector] cried to his horses: "Xanthus and Podargys, and you Aethon and goodly Lanpus, pay me for your keep now and for all the honey-sweet corn with which Andromache, daughter of great Eetion, has fed you, and for the way in which she has mixed wine and water for you to drink whenever you would, before doing so even for me who am her husband. Haste in pursuit..."!

"As when heaven sends a breeze to sailors who have long looked for one in vain and have labored at their oars till they are faint with toil, even so welcome was the sight of these two heroes to the Trojans."
HELL of an entrance. Homer's similes are freaking great!

Battles are like SW: Battlefront with Heroes running around and dramatic dialogue.
Love it!

"King Zeus, grant me revenge on Paris who has wronged me. Subdue him under my hand that in ages yet to come a man may shrink from doing ill deeds in the house of his host." He poised his spear as he spoke and hurled it at the shield of Paris.

Man... I don't blame Menelaus.

"Young men's minds are light as air, but when an old man comes he looks before and after, deeming that which shall be fairest upon both sides." - Menelaus

Wish it was still like this in the West. Can't even trust a lot of the old now.

Homer names EVERYONE in Book II.

So... in Homer's time, they felt that their most high, Zeus, would go to Africa to feast among them because they were favored people.
Lord knows America was never gonna teach us that.

"It is Time's glory to stamp the seal of time on aged things. No doubt; but he will have no hands to stamp it save his own; he will not rot an artificial ruin, but he will not glorify it..." 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Dang Essien...

Ramping up!

Damn this plot picked up!

Sweet chapter

Mother Mass is so damn cool.

New friend told me about the Foxtail on Howell Branch. I got soooo much reading done there.
