I have read The Salt Path and The Wild Silence with admiration and touched by the poetic writing style by Raynor Winn. Unfortunately Landlines turned out too dark for me and I wasn't able to go further till page 67...I really like to finish a book, even when it is difficult...but this time I decided to leave it for the moment a while ago and read other books instead.

I put the book aside, because the storyline is so slowly developing and I needed a other book. I'm reading The Paper Palace now, which is a page turner for me!
I will consider later if I continue this book or switch to the Dutch translation or audio book or not end the book at all...
