So far a good analysis of the concepts. If I am reading a supplementary guide however I would prefer that the writing style was more simplistic to help the reader understand and follow along. Sometimes it feels like you are reading Derrida without reading Derrida

This book is labelled as a psychology book and so far all the author does is describe the background circumstances of specific actors. No discussion about terror ideology, social psychology, or actual psychological factors. its just "this man was in x, he did x... this woman was in x, she did x." I skimmed the book and it seems like that is all this book is. Will continue reading though

I am enjoying this book and I love that Badiou is incredibly concise in this book ( a series of Q&As, essentially) but his thoughts on Lacanian notions of love is ridiculous to me. I haven't really read that Lacanian thesis but the way Badiou described I can't see myself agreeing with it whatsoever, at least for now. The way Badiou describes other issues are amazing, however

It’s good so far, the story building is okay but you can glide through this book very easily; lacks nuance and therefore doesn’t really make you think. The subject matter isn’t shallow but it is written in a shallow way

I need to keep reminding myself that this book isn’t directed towards an academic audience, but his use of psychological and psychoanalytical terms, and his constant analysis on terrorism (why does he keep doing that?) are mistaken, somewhat incorrect and insufferable. It’s clear he’s never really ventured deeper into any of those things

2/5 so far purely because in the beginning he states that he hated Quran class because he had no idea what he was learning ; yet afterwards whenever he gets the chance to apply something ( mentioned Marx, post modernism, philosophy, terrorism) he does so incorrectly with various error in reasoning. it’s more of a biography so far rather than an academic book, but nonetheless contradictory to how he began
