prepping for the National Book Festival (like I need more books to potentially get signed)

hoping the love interest's name being Rodrick doesn't ruin this for me (thanks Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies...)

I remember nothing about this except I wanted more August and I think the end made me mad so I guess it'll be like reading this for the first time again

Someone told me this book is like DARK, so here's to hoping it lives up to that statement (and makes me stop thinking about the cliffhanger from 1899)

Netgalley keeps tricking me into reading fantasies where the romance is actually dark romance and upon reading reviews I fear I may have been duped again

Rereading this because:
a) it's all over my Instagram feed and I have FOMO
b) I didn't like it the first time I read it, but I loved the graphic novel adaptation so maybe my taste has changed
c) I'm in a Dead Poets Society mood and this is as close as I can get right now

Rereading because I feel obligated to read more of Hazel's story which means I need to remember what happened in this one

apparently having Amie Kaufman cite one of my reviews in her newsletter even though it was one where I talked about how much I cried has paid off...
because ever since (knock on wood) I've gotten accepted for every arc request I've made for her books
a win-win I guess?
