I think I’m a little bit too old for this? It’s gripping and easy to read, but it’s too teenager angsty and dramatic for me.

136 pages in and finally something happened!!!! Lets gooo!! Also Eleanor and Theodora are so cute together!!!

Beginning is a little slow but pleasant. Eleanor and Theodora are so gay for each other you can’t tell me nothing. They better kiss in the next chapter or I’m gonna make them!!

this is dreadful I wish it would end

I‘m starting to dislike this protagonist Julián guy. At first I thought he‘s a tragic soul or something but now I’m a little bit off put and disturbed. You can’t be all indifferent and whiny about your life being shitty but then talk about women like they‘re objects for your sexual fantasies. Like wtf? It’s getting a bit too much for my liking. But at least he seems to genuinely care for Daniela I hope.

I don’t see how this book only has 70 pages left but the storyline is still not really clear? What does the memory police do with the people who remember? What happened to the old man? What happened to the mom? What sort of weird island is this? What happened to R‘s wife and son? These last few pages better be good because I have questions. Author explores unrelated subject matters with love but not really story
