It’s good so far, engaging and renewing my love for reading Ancient Greek stuff. I am pausing to read Sunrise on the Reaping!

I started the book last year in November, believing I’d finish it in the beginning of January. I lied to myself.

I’ve got about a little over 100 pages to go and I want to stop and read how those 100 pages go. I have so many “Why?” questions and “How’d we get here?” I no longer feel “bad” for a man ruling over a dictatorship. I feel annoyed.

Saw this at Target last week. Got it since the Netflix movie was so camp. So far, the book is simple fantasy. Honestly what I’ve been needing in this genre!

I feel like I’m finally reading an amazing book for the first time in 2 years!!

So thrilling, so beyond interesting, and the colors and drawings are spectacular!

Our city’s library comes around the district’s schools in a mobile van to bring the books to the kids. It was their last day Wednesday and they gave kids who came ARCS! One student showed me hers, and it was this graphic novel. I fell in love with the description so much I had to go to the library to read it! I haven’t read a GN since Avatar’s stories! And Fox Maiden is thrilling so far!!

This is a very cozy read so far.

I finally found the book I thought I lost! Returning to the book was like riding a bike: easy and exciting. Garber has me hooked for the magic and the uniqueness of it all.

HOWEVER -- the twist (maybe?) was too easy to figure out. Maybe I'll eat my words later....

I could not with the pacing so I spoiled the ending for myself. This could've been one book or a duology instead of a series!

I am so lost and don't understand most of the character's actions anymore. I felt like it's been filler for the past 100 pages when it could've been more straight to the point!

My husband is telling me to put it down since I'm complaining so much about where the heck this plot is taking me.

I'm liking how the love interests aren't the main focus with these queens.

I'm also watching Pietyr closely 👀👀👀

I love how the sisters are portrayed in each chapter. Without saying how they are, Blake explains by actions and thoughts between the three queens.

It's also interesting to see who surrounds the characters, too!

I like it so far. I love the perspectives of the sisters and how their lives aren't how they want it to be, but differently. I'm hoping that they'll get together soon!

So far, I have a loose grasp on the world I am in right now. The opening was beautiful in detail, but confused me when I realized that these carriages aren't in line in front of the crowd in the palace, but somewhere on platforms? What EXACTLY is happening when Camellia is doing her magic? What is a post balloon? Google is showing me a staff to place balloons, so is that what is floating around?

DONE. AND THE ENDING?? IS CONFUSING?? SHEESH!

Y'all already know how I feel. Almost... there....
