so far it’s a cute little book. i like the simplicity after finishing a stephan king book

Everything is happening so fast and i can’t put down the book. I am bewildered by how unexpected each chapter is!!!

Great so far!! i’m trying to be more persistent in reading it so i don’t lose critical details! i love how often we are reminded of jacks drinking problem, and how addiction stays with you no matter how long you’re clean for.

so good. nothing insane has happened yet but this chapter actually had me really creeped out and nervous..

i really like this book because it makes me think. btw i like mitch’s writing!

this book is going to make me cry

The way he describes the "pens" that slaves were held in really stands out to me. I don't get how people could do that willingly to other people.

Northup jumped into the kidnapping literally on chapter 2. So now im scared that the rest of the book is going to be a lot of unnecessary commentary and i hate books like that.
