This a horror or a gothic? Waiting for the shocks and elements to show up. Plenty of Gas Lighting and soap opera dialogue tho.

Not a normal read for me but even though of the subject matter being rough there are moments of tenderness which is surprising.

Picked this up for 2.99 after seeing Oliver on his channel review it. I’m only quarter of the way through and taking a break it has to be the most degenerate and depraved thing I have read.

I have been meaning to read all the Brian Herbert books and I had read the original books as a teenager once through and the original probably 4 times now. So I thought I would try and read them all again. Messiah is a little more dry and dialogue heavy.

So far I have read 2 of the 3 stories. What a wild ride so far.

Wow this book is wild. Quite surprised it isn’t more well known as it resembles a gritty 70s exploitation film all the way and has got quite nasty. I can see why a pseudonym was used. The writing is very good so whoever did write this knew what they were doing.

For some reason this kept appearing on my recommendations and I think Last House On The Left was a good flick. So I finally started this after a few months on my self.. Wow this is really good. I am seeing shades of Paul Schrader’s “Hardcore” and LHOTL so far. I’m really digging this!!
