i finally found a physical copy of this book!!

less than a hundred pages in and i can already sense that the narrator, gilbert markham, is the epitome of an insecure young man who is afraid of independent women with strong opinions of their own. the amount of times i disagreed with his comments concerning mrs. graham...

i'm just deeply curious about how de beauvoir managed to write about her childhood in so much detail when i can't even remember most of my childhood now..

just finished part one.. honestly, reading this feels like a fever dream. so many strange occurrences that i can't even wrap my head around each of them. yet i am so invested in this lol

As someone who majored in linguistics back in college, so far I found the first few pages very interesting. This is actually the first time I read a book that revolves around lexicography.
