uhm... I don't think I am in the headspace to read this right now. The stinking, floating, rotting vinegar cadaver head felt too real, and unironically, I also don't think I can survive a 'bell jar summer'. Debating DNFing & reading later.

ok, the narrator is a terrible pick-me girl who thinks she is so different and special (so OFC she sees the ghost first!), and the writing is horrendous. I've never read a more verbose piece of literature so inaccurate for the sake of sounding profound or deep. Stop using words incorrectly. I'm forgetting to get scared because the grammar is so bad.

It has low ratings but it's Japanese folklore and horror and it has purple prose & I am an unapoligetic sucker for purple.
