The violence just keeps getting worse, and the overly graphic scenes feel unnecessary. There’s no emotional payoff, just pain for the sake of it. I’m not enjoying this, but I don’t know how to walk away from a book once I’ve started. Honestly, it’s making me feel worse the deeper I go.

Extremely disturbing. The child abuse is relentless and described in uncomfortable detail. The writing didn’t pull me in—it just made me feel sick. I honestly don’t know why I’m still reading this… I just have a hard time DNFing books once I start. It made me feel awful, like I shouldn’t even be reading this.
