150 pages in: I’m loving this as I haven’t loved a book in a while (maybe since I read The Bell Jar?). I just can’t put it dow, not because I’m wondering what will happen next, but entirely because of the writing and characters. I’m so impressed by how sonically pleasing each of her descriptions is, and how interesting Ifemelu’s thoughts about American culture and race are, lingering into a larger commentary.
