Can't believe I've avoided this one for so long.

Picked up the ebook from my local library and didn't realize this book is 800 pages long. It's a quick read so far and the show doesn't seem to have deviated too far, at least from as much as I've seen.

This book is enormous, but a quick read so far...

When I started this on Sunday I didn't think I could read it. NO ONE would give a 17-year old all hours access to a museum. Now that's sorta been explained, I'm finding the book less eye-roll and more mystery. Enjoyable.

The people in this book have stupid names. I think the first one was a bit of a guilty pleasure and so far thus is too.

So, we have people who can see into the past and others who can see into the future. And they can communicate with one another. Also, still trying to reconcile the opening line of the book, "the FIRST time my grandmother died".

Mirror world?

Thought: what if Richard's mom is Sarah's long lost aunt, in another alt reality story somehow...

Ah! Alternate reality! Love it! I wish I had thought of this first, what a great idea.

Clearly Jackson knows more than he's letting on to Sarah, since he keeps opening doors that aren't immediately apparent and such.

Still trying to figure out the relationship between Sarah and Jackson, aside from the while distantly related cousin thing. Why sites he know so much about her? Is he psychic? Does he know an alternate reality version of her in which her family lives in Amber House?

After several checks of my local library proved fruitless, I finally bought this book to read on my Nook instead. Loved the film and have heard great things about this book. I'm about two chapters in already.

DNF. Had to return to library. Will probably try to check out again some day or borrow a copy.

Started this one as I've now stalled on JK Rowling's. It'll be a much faster read since I already know and care about the characters. Looking forward to seeing how this one ends.

Briefly sidelined this one to finish Insurgent, so I could return it to the library and its next-in-line and now to read new JK Rowling and Reached, because I believe both of those are also high-demand books. I'll get back to this one, but possibly not until after the holidays.

Andrea does not give this a thumbs up, so I'm quite curious. As a long-time HP fan, I'm sure unfair comparisons will abound as I slog through this one. Super weird that she chose a very Hogwarts-looking image for the back cover.
