Her stories are really cruel. Being made to eat alone while someone watches you is a very romantic sort of torture. Only one of you is partaking. Idk. I like the way her narrator is so fixated on ease

It is exciting to see his accounts of the days get shorter as he finds more to do. His energy for notes is being used in other places that feel more conducive to the end of the suffering he's seeing and experiencing. The way he writes about writing is really beautiful to me.
