I first read this book when I was like 15 or 16, and almost two decades later the line Ted says when he freezes at the fridge still gives me one of the deepest bone chills I've ever experienced. The kind that makes me almost cry from terror. It's one of the few things in my life that has truly and thoroughly scared me.
