Phil Della is reading Vanishing and Other Stories
This book of short stories didn't have a bad tale in it. I especially liked the final story, The Separation. Finishing a collection on a strong story is the best way to leave the reader feeling like leaving a fat tip.

Phil Della is reading The Miracles of Ordinary Men
It's not too often I read a novel that keeps my interest, but this one did. Perhaps it was the spiritual subject matter or the magic realism; whatever it was, it's not an easy feat. We'll done. I'll be looking forward to Amanda's next offering.

Phil Della is reading Make Love, Make War: NOW Is the Time to Worship
Good for Christians, especially worship team members and also songwriters. But if you are like me and also appreciate the author's music then this book feeds the longing to know more about what inspires the music.

Phil Della is finished with Deep Thinking: Where Machine Intelligence Ends and Human Creativity Begins
I thought there would be more about artificial intelligence, but it is mostly about the author's memories of being a chess champion.

Thus far my favorites are: David Somers, Sang Kim and Yakos Spiliotopoulos, all guys. I see a worrying pattern here. A couple of Pracilla Uppal's pages were great. Her story verged on poetry, although more accessible to me. Still, I prefer a more straightforward style. I'm sorry Leon Rooke. I guess I just don't care enough about what's going on here.
