the audiobook music at random parts is so eerie LOL i feel like im in a movie

forgot how interesting this book was

in times of trouble and fear, corrie and her sister still found a way to share the love of Christ to those in power and to those in prison. what a blessed peace we have in Jesus!! 2 Corinthians 12:10

kalte lost = bread being withheld as punishment.
when asked what the first thing she needed to help her, she asked for the Bible and. I honestly hope and pray that that was the first thing on my mind when in time of need.

i resonate so much with this book and the stubbornness of european parents. i love that it shows the double sidedness of tribulation - gratefulness or bitterness? anger or hope? stubbornness or optimism?
