It just feels forced. Like there’s such MINOR details that’s making it tolerable as far as the TL to their love story but I’m just not buying it how I was Rosie & Skylar.. this is just giving hate and lust now it’s something deeper. And it’s literally only deeper based on their individual backstories and not what they’ve gone through as a couple. But we’ll see

It’s a cross btwn I’m Rose Hill’d out & the damn first 33% of the book is we literally so damn back & forth w the hatred and the sexual tension like I don’t like. The plot was feeling so sloppy and it’s only not starting to regulate. But also how they slapped the wedding together & suddenly everyone is on board is sketch and just doesn’t make sense fr but whatever

There’s a few different topics all happening together which I’m not mad at it. It helps to give the characters depth. I feel like West is healing her childhood trauma andddd showing her such a realness she’s not used to. It’s def giving daddy issues but at the same time.. it landed into the arms of the right daddy soooo no harm no foul lol

Was a little unsure how we were going to get a romance with a kid involved but its working so far. I'm liking how she kinda laid majority of the plot upfront so the book can have more time to explore these themes

Unfortunately took a break from the book (ran out of listening time) & now the cringe is starting to set in. Hate that the LDR being exhausting is dragging out so much when the reality of it is, neither of them are attempting to make (nor think about making) SUSTAINABLE ways to make it happen. For some ppl that want it bad they don’t want it enough. They just wanna cuddle and be sad when they can’t like damn

But also the Xmas eve kinda made me very sad

I get the LDR but they dragging the trope. I did it for FOUR years and yes we saw an end but it’s like.., set up an end date you’re fully functioning adults stuck in the anxiety of why your future won’t work because of your NOW.

The LDR is hard so I give sympathy points only bc I’ve been in those trenches

This is so cute thus far. The MMC is pretty cool and i like the FMC but the move “forget Me” irked me but i like it so far

Tbh, the book is great. Other than when she start talking about her mom I’m great. Her mom’s diagnosis is so drawn out sometimes
