I continue to be interested in this guy’s personal experiences and unmoved by his broader cultural musings from 1998

I picked this book knowing that it was written by a Clinton speechwriter in 1998. So, I probably wasn’t going to be… convinced? by some of his declarations on race here in 2025. But I still wanted to see his perspective.

I’ve been right so far! The best parts of the book are about his personal journey/ family. His musings on race are pretty dated, more for being naïve than problematic.
