Putting my boots back on.

I can smell the fresh air…the ending is near and I am quick to answer its call, FREEDOMMM!!!! WAIT FOR ME MY BELOVED!

I’m so close, it’s almost over.

This is really reminding me of Throne of Glass. And that is not a compliment.

I absolutely did not know that Loth was black. Which brings me to this: I don’t know what damn near anyone looks like. In my head Ead and Tané are physically the same person, just in a different font. Tané has slightly sharper & darker features in comparison. That’s it.

Nah I’m pissed. Why would you do them like that? They were some of your best and most entertaining characters.

I’m never going to recover from this story.

Kaine Ferron is the definition of “as you wish” when in regard to Helena Marino.

"Is it dawn?" he asked, his voice almost wondering.
Helena nodded. "First light."
He exhaled. "We were-going to see the world together, remember?"

His fingers scrabbled to find hers, his eyes still on the sky. She took his hand, squeezing tightly, as if she could keep him longer if she held on.
"Never did see Etras ..." he said, his voice faint.

I’m genuinely geeking out rn.

SenLinYu has done an impeccable job transferring Manacled’s core into Alchemised. Not to mention that the magic systems premise, and execution, is outstanding. I have the same rollercoaster of emotions while reading as when I first stumbled upon this story as a Dramione fanfic. Which is undoubtedly hard to accomplish as an author; extracting and morphing the characters from such a well known, pre-existing media.

I’ve had this book since release, started it that day, stopped because of how much I knew it would hurt, finally picked it back up, and have been reading for about 2 days straight.

Oh, how this story makes me ache.

More of a 3.5, I enjoyed it!

Ethan makes me angry, he’s always up in Tova’s business. Matter of fact, the whole town is nosy and messing around where they shouldn’t be 😭.

I don’t know if it’s because it’s late, or if it’s because I’m just in a crying mood, but every time it shifts to Cameron’s POV I just wanna weep. It makes no sense whatsoever.

I FINALLY CAUGHT UP

Anyway, Ead is pretty cool and I think Niclays and Kit are my favorite characters right now.

I see a running theme with Mrs. St Ledger, she really likes books where the main character, or equivalent, gets a terminal illness and dies. But, before they die, they realize that love is the answer to all.

Im not quite sure how I feel about this book. I like it, but have some mixed feelings. It’s a solid 3.5 stars I think.
