And the hero is STILL the biggest POS I’ve read in a long time (hero or villain)

Why am I still reading? (Because I love this author). The hero is truly terrible in his judgmental treatment of the heroine. At this point, the amount of groveling he needs to do will equal opening a vein and surrendering his soul or something. He is so horrible to her. Why does she think she can trust him? I don’t understand.

Love it so far. Need to pause rn though bc I don’t want this much heartache tonight.

There is something about Tessa Dare’s narrative voice that instantly puts a smile on my face and joy in my heart!

There are so many voice anachronisms that I would normally DNF. It feels like a stream-of-consciousness first draft. But the story is fascinating and I must know how it ends.
Also… why aren’t there translations for the Gaelic??

Loving everything about this book and hate that I have to set it aside and go to sleep like an adult.

Lots of POV shifts from paragraph to paragraph which is frustrating, but plot so far so good.
