This is not a fanfic, I just could not find the book on Goodreads but still want credit.
"Dear Olive" by Amy Le Feuvre

I only started this yesterday and it is such a marvelous read already! Lamplighter books often have similar plots or just really similar main characters but this one has a really unique and intriguing plot and a enduring main character who makes me so curious how it will end and how she will grow as a person!

So far this has been an interesting read, I'm not sure what I think is the budding forbidden love story but I really loved this quote (possible spoiler so be warned):
"If he falls in love with you, it will be his heart that shatters when you leave. It will be him who falls apart when you aren't here anymore. It will be him who mourns you for eons to come." (Bash says this Thea about Thorn)

I was not enjoying this book at all but now as I reach the final chapters I am enthralled to see the themes presented in the beginning coming to completion (the wrath of Achilles, destiny, Zeus). So far the ending has been brutal but terrifyingly interesting. Now, I feel that I should read this again some day and try to follow the themes even more closely and see how they develop in a second read.

I have read books 1-4 and so far there has been bickering about who gets which woman and graphic death. I doubt I would finish reading this unless it was required for school and is considered a great of ancient literature.
