andy weir is like the r.f kuang of sci-fi bc the research that went into this is truly insane

this is genuinely hilarious

i'm currently reading four novels at once and i feel psychotic
love the atmosphere of this book so far i'm so hooked

im starting to stress bc wdym this is the last book

i can't imagine writing this at 19 years old what the hell

i haven't devoured a book this fast in months

such a weird little book i love it

so close to the end but the tension has me pacing my room

cannot describe how good this is

it's terrifying how much you can understand the (twisted) beliefs and motives of the abusive mother and life-coach but then you take a step back and it's like 'damn they are absolutely insane'
well-written and I can't stop reading

marketed as similar to the crucible so I should have known bc the idea is cool but it's all about a group of girls who have no voice in the narrative and all the chapters are the just perspectives of different men and how these men view the girls

it's intriguing bc it does keep their characters more of a mystery but cmon I'm past halfway through please just give me a chapter from the perspective of the girls

been waiting a year for this book!!!

i love this writer wow

i won't lie the writing style by the original author kind of sucks so if u ever see me re-reading this series, it's not the og - it's an edited version with all the male-gazey, problematic parts cut out that I found on reddit and is now actually a decent trilogy lol

i have 2 more exams in a day and i need to study but i can't put this down and i can't stop reading i've never yelled out loud over a book like this before

i can't even comprehend how much research and knowledge and intelligence was required to write this because the level of detail is so insane

was going to save this for after exams but i'm too desperate (now catch me reading instead of studying)

i see a book labelled 'for fans of The Secret History' and you can bet I will read it (this book is great)

dark academia at an elite old art school omg sign me up

shoutout to Ula's review of this book bc I'm also thinking about the whole toads being called reptiles comment

months late to the party but i finally got my hands on this book I'M SO EXCITED

THIS AUTHOR IS INSANE HOW DO YOU EVEN COME UP WITH THIS

i'm still mad we could have analysed The Handmaids Tale in lit class and got this instead

yessss i love a novel with illustrations of the monsters and creatures of the story
