I’m always amazed at how little authors know about topics you could easily look up. How does the author not know that “tenure track writing professor who only writes on the side” is not a job? Writing professors who teach in MFA programs got those jobs BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY SUCCESSFUL WRITERS, they literally cannot get those jobs let alone tenure any other way. Lynn, you are a writer, how are you clueless!?!?!?

I wish these characters were giving something more interesting to do. The level of unnecessary exposition given at every single stage feels straight out of The Netflix Second Screen School of Writing. Like, we GET IT. Good Lord.
