So much happened in the first 40%
Normally all these events would've been stretched trough an entire book! No excessive descriptions or boring scenes whatsoever:)

This is soo fast paced and exactly what I needed cuz Staraide put me in a bookhangover

The world is so damn beautiful, especially the traveling city! And the action happens non-stop, which is incredible✨️

A lot of cool monsters. Also I love how these creatures are all beautiful and mesmerizing when they're actually really dangerous.
And finally having a fmc who's not a natural talent at fighting and whatever. It was refreshing seeing her struggle just holding her new sword.

Damn this is what I call a GOOD book!

It starts right in the action/trial/game. The worldbuilding is astounding compared to On Wings Of Blood where the information was constantly given instead of being woven into the story itself.

I also feel the friendships and the romance is promising, so I can't wait✨️

And not bc the story is so incredibly good, but bc I can't wait to finish the book! Hope the second will be waaay better. Otherwise I'm done with this series.

It's torture really.
The story isn't bad but it's just not giving much at all! 😫 No action no nothing😭 It feels like I'm the one attending school when reading this book. And I'm reading this in my exam-period to take a break from studying😭 This is depressing.

Ok, turns out I may have been a bit impatient bc this book became interesting. He KILLED for her and he took care of her injured pet FOR HER. He even talked cutetsy to the tiny fox to reasure it✨️ She made him into a cutie-patootie a soft-hearted simp and I love it🙂‍↕️

I gotta say I'm 35% in, and still nothing has happened yet. Like whatsoever. It's a bit weird. Only had one combat scene and that's it. The story is bit slow in my opinion, but I'm still in for the ride.

I'm liking the combat classes and the studying so far. It sure gives me motivation to study and that's exactly what I need in my exam period:)

I started reading this book again and I just hope it'll bring back my love for reading cuz I've been craving it sm lately 😢😫😫

This book became worse and better at the same time. Don't try to understand it, cuz I don't understand it either. But it did became more interesting, so I see that as a win.

I don't trust Robert at all! I bet he's been using his magic to make her love him this whole time so he can become king and avenge his people. He's probably the leader of their resistance and he's been betraying her all along!

This story is sloow. Nothing much is happening and there are almost no dialogues. We mostly get their thoughts, which is quite boring. The story better becomes interesting, but I'm still interted nontheless.

So far so good. It has princess x guard but she needs to marry a prince, so exactly like the tiktok trend. And I was looking for a book with that trope so that's amazing.
This also kinda reminds me of the show Reign. And if you know me, you know I absolutely love that show<3 Queen Marry and Francis 4ever!!

I'm just damn right HOOKED!! I mean ghouls are involved now? And there are trials? And multiple love stories? Plus an military academy? A dystopian in an middle-eastern setting? Kind-hearted fmc and mmc? Plus the fmc reminds me of Elide Lochan and Mare Barrows? ...
Well offcourse I'm hooked! How could I not be?
