Nice insight into the statistical probability side of football —“Moneyball” style 😎

Fascinating: the evolution of tactics with managers (i.e. Pep, Bielsa, Klopp…) who were once so staunchly ingrained in their own ideas, changing with the times, locations, and with generational talent.

Brings me to ask, do the players dictate the tactics of the manager? Does the manager dictate the tactics of the player? A mix of both? Dependent on the gaffer? Do certain players go beyond tactical precision?

One of my favorite books I’ve read in some time, really scratches that nice itch in my brain.

Great imagery, so vivid. Don’t enjoy how the single female character is written.
