Wow this book is very enlightening and engaging. I did not realize how little I knew about TB.

Reading this in honor of Jane Austen's 250th birthday - I feel like Sense and Sensibility is often overlooked in favor of Pride and Prejudice, but I'm glad I'm giving it another chance and taking my time enjoying this one. It may not be as witty as P&P but it's still making me laugh!

The first flashback! Ahh!! I'm really hoping a lot of my questions throughout this series are finally answered.

Picked this up on a whim for a light and easy read. So far I can't figure out what the genre/theme is - romance? Mystery? Family drama? The only recurring theme in each perspective seems to be that men are pigs. Otherwise it seems like it'll be a quick fun read. We shall see.

I'm actually really enjoying this book so far.

I started reading Wind and Truth and it became apparent I was missing something... I was told that I should read "Warbreaker" first. Well. I was annoyed to have to read yet another LONG book by Sanderson in order to understand an EVEN LONGER book, but then I started it and hey this one is actually pretty good. So far I'm hooked!

I don't know why I'm reading this. I didn't plan on it, but I picked it up randomly and now I can't seem to put it down. It's so sweet and deep and real and kinda silly all at the same time.

Reading this for "spooky season" but I also really like this author (and I'll admit I'm a sucker for vampire stuff, pun intended 😜). So far I like it, there is some mystery per usual with vampire books but more gritty. It's set in Mexico City which is different than most of the American vampire books/tv I've seen so it's a refreshing change

Okay!! The pace picked up almost immediately after my last update - and now chapter 22 changes perspective and I can't put it down!

“Then we just keep walking?” “I don’t see a better option,” said Alice. “Do you?”

Welp something interesting better happen quick or I may drop this one for something else. I have time to read one book before I start "Wind and Truth" and I know that hulking tome will take me at least a month to get through.

End of part three... Wow. So far I think I like this one better than Oathbringer, but we will see how everything wraps up. One good thing - Navani and her fabrials are finally interesting to me. Previous books I couldn't care less. Now I see the point and all of the foundational information is useful now. Sanderson is a master of world building.

I liked Sacred Pathways so I thought I'd check out another book by this author - I like this one so far!

So far there are several aspects I've noticed are different, but the quote above kinda explains it: Huck may not be a reliable narrator.

Whew this is a more intense book than I was expecting but it's really good. A deep dive into Isaiah 53. Enjoying it so far.

"There was them kind of faint dronings of bugs and flies in the air that makes it seem so lonesome and like everybody’s dead and gone; and if a breeze fans along and quivers the leaves it makes you feel mournful, because you feel like it’s spirits whispering—spirits that’s been dead ever so many years—and you always think they’re talking about you . As a general thing it makes a body wish he was dead, too."

End of part one... Interesting so far, everything is building up slowly per usual Sanderson style. Looking forward to the ride

Reading this "classic" to provide context before reading the much awarded "James" that came out recently. I don't recall ever reading this before... Maybe Tom Sawyer. It feels familiar but I don't remember. Either way, so far I'm chuckling and cringing in equal measure.

The main character guy is totally giving off Mr Darcy vibes... Quiet and misunderstood for haughty just because he is brutally honest. I like the fake dating trope in this one so far! Entertaining and cute. We will see how it ends...

I was hesitant to start this after not liking the last couple romance novels I read, but this one seems refreshingly smart and the fake-dating set up and character motivations feel real and believable. I'm hooked!

Every time I think it's getting interesting, it becomes slow again. Ugh. I'm hoping it picks up or at least has a twist or something towards the end.

This book was highly recommended to me. Interesting so far - fortunately my kids are still very young and not "fighting" yet but I like to equip myself for the potential disagreements in the future!

"A loud giggle from a quip Mr. Carnegie had made escaped from Miss Atkinson's normally pursed lips." - What is this sentence?? The order of prepositional phrases makes it so confusing. Agh this kind of editorial mistakes annoy me.

Reading this for book club... A little slow to start but it's getting interesting. This is my first Marie Benedict book (I know she has written a lot) and I'm not sure yet if I like her writing. It may be the book. I'll give it time.

"It actually looks like my boyfriend will be stuck here with me, his flight got canceled too." This was even better. "We'd love to have him, bring your boyfriend."

Omg omg omg. This book has me sucked in. I can't wait to watch the drama unfold.

Dang this book is good. Kinda depressing but real.

This book was starting to get slow but then all of a sudden it took a turn and now I can't put it down! Wow I hope it continues.

I'm reading this one for the Goodreads Summer reading challenge - I don't think I would have found this one otherwise. Looking forward to reading something new!
