Raskolinikov killed the lady not because of money but because he thought he has the “divine right” to do it. For him, only those who have bravery, those who are willing to do something most cannot do, are divine people, people who must rule society. I think he killed the lady to test himself to see, no to PROVE, that he is one of them.

So far i’m loving this book. Definitely made me more emotional than the first one. I feel like this time, the reason why the characters are going back to the past is more in depth, more heart-breaking.I can’t imagine how i would feel if someone from the future came to see me, because they missed me or tried to apologize.
