When meandering up to this book because it was recommended to me, I thought it'd be a great day-in-the-life type book about being a doctor. So far it's women being written by men (unfortunately the bulk of the story) and dark humor. Also, I like when medical terms are brought up here and there and I actually know what they mean :]

there is so much miscommunication to the point where it is 70% of the plot. painful, but bearable.

I can't get over how strange the formatting of this book is. When the author picked out a genre, he really said Dystopian (Literary). As the characters are unnamed and there are Absolutely no quotation marks, there is a strong sense of disconnection between the reader and the story. While this makes it hard to get absorbed into the story, I like weird little books like this.

I love how this book has been so far, and it's Killing Me that I don't have enough time to sit down and read right now. So far, it's pretty fast paced, and I'm excited to see how the mystery unravels.

A lot of Michigan stories (which can be expected, but it's not everyday you hear Michigan mentioned). If only it were under better circumstances though lol

I'm... I'm so stressed reading this right now. I've had to take breaks to pace and mull over what just happened (because the story and the writing are just THAT good).
I keep getting hopeful for the best, and then something terrible happens. This makes for a great start, but oh my poor heart. Also, I have no complaints on the science for once (the author Really nerded out on this).

I love this narrator!! He's so funny, and considering he's facing (literal) starvation, he seems to be doing pretty well (so far, but I guess only time will tell).

Basically everyone is cheating (or has cheated) on each other. Also, there is A Lot of drinking taking place. I know a lot of people drink for leisure, but the characters are getting wasted left and right each chapter.
Storyline is fast and pretty good otherwise though!

I'm reading this through audiobook format (which I don't do often, I swear!) and genuinely thought I was safe from the audiobook smut :((
