2003 book had already shifted to the library stack. Says something about local readership identity, I suppose.

Written 1986. Feels and reads like a solid paper-back of the period, which it is. The protagonist is Robert Jeremy Cole, know as Rob, which sounds anachronistic to me for the setting in 11th Century England. Otherwise it is enjoyable reading.

Not sure if we are going to meet Sondra Alizond-1 in this book. I'm starting to channel her as Sigourney Weaver in one of her bitch queen characters.
