This audiobook is so well performed, I really feel like I’m in there with Haymitch

One of my favorite books ever and I’m starting a re read of the series as I slowly get all the physical copies in my possession. My first read of the series was entirely audiobook as each book came out, but there’s something so different about actually holding the physical books.

plutarch mentions technology the capital had to destroy that could fabricate and recreate any person doing anything, and how humanity almost destroyed itself with the technology. and i totally missed that during my first read cuz AI wasn’t developed to this level at that point.

Re read! Never listened to the audiobook before and I need a palette cleanse after the last few books I’ve been reading.

it’s tough because the author has really written herself into a corner with a confined setting and two characters to work with. like it’s not great but all things considering it’s going better than I thought it would.

I fear I’m not a fan of this book so far

wondering if this is gonna get supernatural cuz it’s leaning that way

so far it’s a lottttt of fighting and swimming and I hope something happens soon

This is a really cute cozy read, I love old ladies doing crime and I love lesbians

super invested and just remembered that in the words of Hermes, ‘it’s a sad tale, it’s a tragedy.’ so it’s not gonna end well…

i love adrian so much but i feel like there’s about to be a lot of pain and suffering ahead for her :(

another one of my most anticipated reads of the year!!! you had me at sapphic orpheus and eurydice retelling

Richard Osman will forever be my favorite author and I love this book so far

my ARC request just got approved for the new emma r alban book…. oh i really don’t know what it’s like to lose

she really spends the first 40% of this book realizing her preconceived notions about everything are wrong and then she finds out Joey murdered someone and doesn’t stop to think there might be good reason for it… girl let’s use critical thinking skills

The world building is wonderful so far and I’m hooked on what (I’m assuming) is going to be a larger mystery as to why they’ve really kidnapped her/who they’re running from.

millie’s backstory is wild, i’d also be in my villain era
