Heartbreaking and raw

This book is what passion and falling in love slowly but cautiously feels like. Also loved the themes on desire and how the author tried to describe indescribable feelings. Really like the authors use of repution throughout chapters like "memory of the present" it's so amazing. feels like a poetry book and i have to reread sometimes but that's a fault on my part.

her writing is so vivid i love it, i love the way she describes how to white folks things are a joke but to the black people the same thing can be powerful. very honest

the slow burn is the perfect pace and a very real relationship, love it so much. love how accurate her emotions are compared to a crush in real life lol.

good book so far can't wait to learn more about the characters, love their simple and seamless friendship. also love how much description the writing has, very vivid.

I really loved the second story, the writing felt smooth and the story moved with ease. I also loved how it highlighted small moments and how much they can mean to someone like when nick called jamal brave, a heartwarming story that had a slight bittersweet feeling. loved it.
