I’m just not into this… I read another few books and then came back hoping it would catch my interest again… I’m just not invested in the main character and feel like I don’t really know the other characters. The plot and mystery seem forced. I’m going to try and finish.

I got about half way through, then started skipping pages until I thought- why bother? Too long with so many characters and boring descriptions of their boring days, and you didn't know what information was important to retain and what wasn't. I tried to get absorbed in the different threads of her lives but it just didn't work for me.

I am still waiting to start to like it. It has all the elements that I should enjoy... but I'm not relating to or at least feeling for the main character, and all the minute details of this type of industry are just not interesting to me. I like this author but really don't want to finish this book.

I still don't know what the heck happened at this dang BBQ, but I have learned that I don't like any of these characters. When I'm reading a book, I want to like or at least relate to at least one character. Ugh. I'm too invested to stop now. I'm so worried the big 'thing' will be contrived or ridiculous or nothing.

Ugh. Now the fact that I still don't know what happened at that stupid BBQ is so completely annoying.

It better get somewhere soon. Build up is one thing, but there is no story, just anticipation. Maybe it is because I still don't have a good feel for the main characters yet, and I feel like at this point I should.

I'm having a hard time getting into this book. Maybe I'm just not in the mood?

I think I've figured out where she's been hiding, but I'm curious as to why? And how? I like the little bits of information the author gives out... instead of a full reveal. I'm sort of hoping my guess is a decoy and the truth is something else.

So good and suspenseful... I raced through.I applaud the author's ability to make everyone seem suspicious and innocent. But at 70%... I have changed my mind and just dislike the main character and don't understand the direction and it seems to be dragging. I'm going to keep reading.
