This feels like half text book, half adventure story. I’m really enjoying learning about new paradoxes and philosophies. It’s making me google things. And I love googling things. Isn’t it funny that Google is a verb? Anyway, I kind of want to savour the book but I also want to finish it. What to do?!

I really can’t trust Peter or Alice. And Grimes definitely sucks. I’m not sure I really care if they’re successful or not. I like Archimedes. At least he isn’t pretending to be anything other than a cat. I also overall am really enjoying the book as a whole. Even if the characters suck.

I’ve always said heaven is a library but apparently hell is too! This is fun. And I’m learning while reading - what could be better? I’m not so into all the maths though. Ew. But I’ll forgive it. For now.

I really love this. The way he just kept trying but never at the expense of his own interests and standards - inspiring.

“If I’m going to go down with the ship, it should at least be my ship.” True!

So far, great. Very wholesome about his parents. It’s also a bit sad hearing him talk about not being able to achieve everything he wanted.

My favourite comedian. A bit of a slow start but it’s ramped up now. Loving it.

My favourite story so far (The Enchanted Horse) because of the lack of violence and true evil, and the presence of a happily ever after awww. Now I can kind of see where Scheherazade is going with this. Sinbad next yay!

I’m really enjoying the prose. And I’m totally feeling the tiredness of Alice. Relatable.

Tale 3 done ✅ Mate those six brothers were sad. How did they manage to meet all the worst people? Or are these tales just saying that evil is everywhere? 😫 I also want the Silent Shaykh to know that he DOES NOT KNOW what ‘man of few words’ means. Also LOL at the fantasising of the fifth brother. He went DEEP into the fantasy.

I am so hyped for this book.

Tale 2 done. That one had a story within a story within a story within a story at one point. Was interesting though. I find it odd that Sheherezade is telling the king stories in which the women are literally evil. How is making him hate women even more going to save the women of the kingdom? Hmmm.

I’m sad for the MC now. He’s so lonely, it’s depressing. And Nastenka isn’t helping. I can’t believe her granny’s punishment though. That’s insane.

Man, the inception just goes deeper and deeper. A story within a story within a story within a story. No joke. But it’s fun.

I only have two chapters left… nooooooo. I’m sad. But I did love when then Italian guy said “non capisco” and I went “I understand that!” Which is funny because it translates to “I don’t understand” but I did understand hahaha

Nooo I don’t want it to end :( but it’s also ending so well! Though I’m not sure about this Haidee plot hmmm.

Everyone’s lives are falling apart. It’s so satisfying.

It’s all coming to a head now!! So much fun. That convo between Eugenie and her father was funny. I love revenge being served. Poor Dantes; he has come a long way.

So far, the King seems very simple. But unfortunately simple people with a lot of power can create a lot of terrible situations/issues. Scheherazade is clever, which is fun. Her first tale was pretty wild. Just magical and fantastic from the get go. All those people being turned into animals - very interesting.

If that had gone how I thought it was going to go, I would have been terribly upset. Imagine - all that hard work, for nothing! Sacre Bleu!

This is legitimately so much fun. But I can so see that Dumas was getting paid by the letter or page.

I am feeling like something really bad is coming up (maybe in a flashback…) and I’m scared 😟 I still love Rocky

Oh poor Dantes. Even as a middle-aged man, he can still blush. I really like him. And his antics just keep getting funnier. That one disguise was like Rochester with the fortune teller disguise. Just as absurd.

Was wondering what would happen with those two scientists. I don’t know if I like it. But I’ll allow it for now.

Ryland asked himself a question and I said the answer before he did. Am I… a scientist???

I really love how Rocky says “Thank”. He’s so cute 😭

Oh man this is unbelievable!! This is reminding me why I love reading - well, listening to audiobooks. The narrator is incredible. So, so much fun. I’m so glad I decided to read it before seeing the movie.

The main character is so cute

The way Dantes is playing these people is just incredible. Very fun. Very deserved.

I really like how corny Ryland is. Totally feels like a high school science teacher. Also, holy hell this story just got real interesting!!! This is me driving to work while listening - 🫣😬😱🤯🤩

I love how it feels like I’m figuring out the puzzles with him. Though a lot of the science talk is going over my head.
