Oh man this is unbelievable!! This is reminding me why I love reading - well, listening to audiobooks. The narrator is incredible. So, so much fun. I’m so glad I decided to read it before seeing the movie.

The main character is so cute

The way Dantes is playing these people is just incredible. Very fun. Very deserved.

I really like how corny Ryland is. Totally feels like a high school science teacher. Also, holy hell this story just got real interesting!!! This is me driving to work while listening - 🫣😬😱🤯🤩

I love how it feels like I’m figuring out the puzzles with him. Though a lot of the science talk is going over my head.

Back in this world after a month hiatus. Still ad fun as ever. Dantes is really going the ‘revenge is a dish best served cold’ route. Playing the loooong game but I love it.

Dantes has officially lost the plot. I am actually crying with laughter. Also with joy because woaahhhh we’re halfway there! I’m sure being halfway through this book is what Bon Jovi was singing about all those years ago.

I thought this guy was dead. Also I love Dantes telling Haydee that he and her father were the only men she loved because they were the only ones she ever spoke to. Keeping it real haha

I so knew this was going to happen. But I’m getting more Your Name vibes than parallel world vibes. I wonder if it’ll have a similar ending to Your Name.

Now I’m becoming conflicted. Because, while I am still totally on Dantes side and want revenge for him too, I’m starting to wonder if maybe he isn’t too consumed by it. He is certainly not the same Dantes we first met. I mean, he really could’ve stepped in earlier when Ali was being tortured :(

Dammit Cadarousse. Even worse than I thought. But who cares about that- Dantes v Donglars is the real story here. This is so incredibly satisfying.

Now I don’t know if I want them to find the wishing room to make a wish. Maybe the wish can be the friends we made along the way… literally.

I like how it’s just “this guy tells a story, then that guys tells a story, then this guy tells a story”. Very fun.

I’ve made it almost 300 pages into an almost 1000 page book (according to my copy). This feels like an accomplishment. Anyway, Dantès is back woo!

Bro, why have we transitioned into a very detailed account of Vampa’s life??? I do love all the talk about Rome. Why is it so fun to say “I’ve been there” no matter where ‘there’ is?

The scene with Morrell literally had me with my hand in my heart. I was so sad at the thought of his misfortune, I was crying on the way to work. I love these characters 😭 but now Dantes is going around giving hashish to people… ok plot twist.

Ok that’s not fair. The moving finger didn’t point at that character at all!

Um… I was under the impression that Jerry was an old man so this decision of his is really quite disturbing. Even if he isn’t that old, it’s disturbing because of the way Megan has been portrayed until now. Maybe I’m not meant to like Jerry?

I wondered when Ms Marple would get here. Also the title of this is quite apt because my finger really does keep moving to accuse different people. Hmm.

I like how the police are competent in this story. Also, I’ve changed my mind. The culprit is someone else.

I think I know who it is. Starts with an M. Rides a bicycle. Has been described to resemble an animal more than a person (though I think that might’ve been said with affection).

“Imitate the vegetable kingdom as far as possible” says the doctor. That’s some good advice. That’s what I’ve been doing. Anyway I really like this so far. Quite modern in its content. I like Jerry as an MC. It also reminds me of Wicked Little Letters with Olivia Coleman. I wonder if it was inspiration for the film.

I really love how everything is playing out. But it’s almost too good to be true. Also there’s about 35 more hours of book left…
