nothing special so far i guess

my last day of midterm exam and I actually did pretty well on my cost accounting exam *irrelevant* but ANYWAY, I was all alone in PSB FEUI (my first time there) waiting for my boyfriend taking his last midterm exam and i kinda didn't know what to do so i look through the bookshelves there trying to find something interesting to read since its been a long time since i read my last book (which i haven't finished also)

is it just me or this book is really slow paced..? i kinda got bored and stopped reading for like 2 days but im getting back to it! tbh still not getting interesting but i think we’ll get there

just started and still couldn’t grasp the picture of what’s going to happen or what’s going on but i love the concept of the DeathCast

menarik banget cerita hidupnya sang penyair bohemian!! tapi penulisan alur yang maju mundur sedikit agak bikin bingung kaya “ini pas umur berapa ya” but maybe that’s just a me problem yang nggak terlalu aware(?) but so far i enjoyed it very much!

humanist belief on ethical, economy, education, etc. is revolving around our inner feelings

modernism and the price we have to pay. of course, capitalism and its huge role!

this part i was reading is interesting. talked about how writings could change a civilization, fiction brought society together, religion vs science, real talk about how one civilization can work through cooperation and shared the same idea/goal.

p.s. just strengthen your faith when reading this part of the book lol

i love it whet it started to talk about how civilization could worked and comparing the old civilization to the present civilization and how they’re are actually similar but with different kinds/things. i learned that sometimes algorithm of the world is just the same from time to time it’s fascinating 😮

they’re talking about human soul and mind and what differentiates human and animals. do animals have subjective consciousness like human? oh lord its so fun

the torture was so graphic :( i feel pity for them yet rushed for their activism. the back and forth plot kinda confuses me at first bc i didn’t pay attention to the table of contents but its all good now!

the intro was great i like the tension sm

- the pursuit of happiness
- biological and expectation
- we just crave for more hence, slow down or manipulate our mind with prescription
- divinity
- bioengineering, cyber/cyborg(?) engineering, ??
- homo sapiens might evolve to something else
- the world is advancing and we cant slow down

short read before seeing my bf 🤓

- famine, plague, war
- the # of people died bc of obesity>the # of people died bc of hunger
- plague are now controllable thanks to science but on the other hand it spreads faster due to transportation now
- no longer on the law of jungle and cekhovs’s gun law shits
- the old peace ≠ the new peace
- terrorism is kinda just mind games(?)
