I’m so intrigued by the hints about the universe outside of Cheris’s perception. The servitudes, society outside the hexarchy or whatever it’s called. The author has thought it all through and I’m enjoying the hints

I really enjoy being able to look up the interviews, people, restaurants, etc. that she mentions & see for myself a glimpse of what she experienced. A good book to read with the internet in hand, ironically

I listen to audiobooks VERY slowly these days without driving time. But the author has done a good job of turning his extensive reporting into a narrative so it's actually quite interesting.

Shallan's thought, "It wasn’t a lie. It was a different truth." Sanderson was positing Alternative Facts years before Kellyanne Conway made that ridiculous statement.

When should you post a review of an ARC? On pub date? If before to build some excitement (no spoilers of course), how many days before?

Disgraceful how much that serious crime taking place in black communities is under-investigated, lack of diversity on police forces, etc., hasn't changed in 20 years, much less in the years since Civil Rights, as discussed in the book.

It should have a "Krispy Kreme" warning. And fresh hot blueberry scones and other pastry delights. But mostly the doughnuts. Good thing my car is dead.

Every story has been great or good so far, remarkable.
