This book! Ed Yong’s writing is beautiful and sensitive and creates a world that I want exclusively live in. Despite that… this is my third attempt reading this! I don’t do great with super dense, informational books but I AM BREAKING THE CURSE I SWEAR TO GOD! I’m going to finish this by the end of September, PERIOD.

I was really digging this the first 80-100 pages but now it’s so repetitive and a little stale. I am hoping magic happens in the final third of the book.

I love a science read that communicates to the average person while also having engaging prose. Accessible learning for the win. Also, everything kinda is tuberculosis.
