Should I DNF?
I'm not enjoying this book, and it makes me feel guilty, as all my mutuals have rated it with 5⭐. But I can't stop thinking about how the author overlooks how toxic their relationship is

Emotional breaks are necessary at this point of the story, and I'm not trying to be funny.

There's so much information in the first 100 pages that I feel like I've read two whole books.

My first impression so far of this book is that it's a combination inspired by the movie The Village and the arrival of the Mayflower to the so-called “Promised Land,” only that the forest is darker than they expect. Satanic panic? I'm ready for it.

This is my first time reading anything by this author, and I'm surprisingly enjoying the slow pacing of the story. I'm a sucker for slow burn and yearning, and the prose is beautiful.

I feel like I'm in a reading slump, and I don't know if this book will help to keep me out of this fool's mood.
