Putting this one down. The premise is interesting, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Almost any of the tension or claustrophobia you would feel from just a regular deep sea dive is consistently undercut. Each chapter begins with either a different character's POV or a glimpse into the past, breaking up the flow and mystery.

Man, this shit went from goofy kids scifi to "my dad is only hanging on to life for me and if i died he would follow" in like four chapters. If I would've read this as a kid it would've done something to my brain chemistry 100%
