This should have been marked as "currently reading" for a few months now, but I started reading it in an airport during the holidays and will only go back to it after my finals, because I just know this series will consume my life and my every waking thought after I get past the first chapters.

you in motion. This picture of you at home, with husband, with rose-hip
tea, with sunset and river, swells my heart."

Elinor’s first chapter is making me depressed. Hate it so much. This novel’s lack of focus is becoming depressing. If I were reading a physical copy instead of listening to the audiobook I would’ve thrown it across the room a few times by now.

I don't think the author of Love Hurts understood the assignment. He was too busy writing fanfiction of his own series to deliver a story about star-crossed lovers. The Marrying Maid was better. I don't read historical romance so my standards were non-existent. Rooftops was okay, but I felt nothing reading. Technically speaking, not one of these 3 stories is really a tale of love and death about star-crossed lovers.
