Sure it’s very helpful for some to understand their feelings of their own gender thru hormones and chromosomes and genes, but the whole “you could have male genitalia and a female brain” is far to rigid for me. Makes me feel like I have to pick some combination of the gender binary to exist in, to explain myself thru— feels limiting

This section on the development of genitals and brains in foetuses is making me uncomfortable. I’m feeling annoyed at understandings of gender being strictly tied to biological goings on, as if that’s the only way to validate gender diversity n stuff. And I just don’t think that’s the case for a lot of us...
