I’m in a reading slump bc I picked up like 3 unreadable books in a row and hoping this is gonna turn things around…kind of slow, setting the stage, O’Farrell style in first 40 pages so it’s not rly doing a ton to PROPEL me out of the slump but it’s at least pretty writing and a promising plot

I’m rage quitting it’s too bad and not like a fun bad where u have to know what happened (like yesteryear) it’s just plain bad where the entire concept forces itself into the box of being “outside” the main characters to the point that they’re so boring and impossible to care about that I just dgaf

For whatever reason I can’t get into this but I know I will return
