I faintly remember some of the events within this book, but I know I stopped reading, because it was kind of a hard read for me and I didn't have the capacity at the time to digest and really understand what the reader was conceptualizing. Plus I took this book out a library and didn't want to keep up with returning the book.

Currently have stopped reading and I don't know how long ago I did but I realized I picked up this book ( and shown interest in similar books) during a dark time when getting through childhood trauma. So there's that.

ppl in the reviews were saying this was a unnecessary slow burn...yea. like it's just dragging

as I continue to read I could really imagine a whole movie or tv series of this book. It gives more of a Lifetime movie or something on Discovery. I'm enjoying it with her use of words and Celeste is quite witty and analytical. Sometimes I find myself enjoying and entrapped in the book then realize this is predatorily disturbing LOL
