Why does this book make me so sad ?

So you're telling that this girl has been living in the street for 3 years and had to fight to survive but when she comes to the island, she is portrayed as someone always failing to defend herself.
I don't like the way that women in this book are all (literally ALL) weak, they all need men to stand up for them. When it comes to Sally, it is not even coherent (she had to survive in the street ???).

J'aime bien mais bordel il est interminable ce livre, surtout une fois qu'on a été spoilée :(

I really like this quote (page 141).

Tyson is the best character ! I can't accept any other opinion on that.
