This is so much better then I thought it was going to be. Like seriously why is this so good?

It’s interesting going back to these series that I never read and seeing if I get the hype behind them. So far I think I get the hype of this one.

Do all of Rachel Lippincott and Alyson Derrick’s books take place in a shared universe?!

Whoever changed the cover art to this abomination (instead of keeping the beautiful ebook cover art) for the physical release should be drawn and quartered. Otherwise very much enjoying this so far.

Mostly just historical context so far but it is quite interesting. Nothing too controversial yet.

I can’t believe Edward having OCD makes this double the length of the original

I’m almost done and there is still no semblance of a final act… I can’t wait to write an essay of a review for this one.

For a book about dragons they seem to be kind of superfluous to the story. They seem to basically serve as decoration for the most part which is kind of lame.

Just because you take a bunch of normal things and give them hard to pronounce names doesn’t mean you’ve written good fantasy.

Here’s to hoping I finish this by the start of book club on Saturday
