Wow, this is such a great story. The author is a novice as a writer, but he's 100% authentic as an intuitive communicator with animals of many species.

Tejas Janet is on page 93 of 216 of The Illustrated Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time
I love reading about John Harrison's watch and clock designs. His tower clock in Brockelsby Park (Lincolnshire, England) "has been running continuously for more than 270 years - except for a brief period in 1884 when workers stopped it for refurbishing." Add 21 more years to this clock's continuous service now. It was and remains very accurate, and runs without lubrication required. Wow!!

Lovely book. Good for reading one chapter every week or so. Not a book to rush thru in my opinion.

Stream of consciousness is challenging but rewarding if you surrender to the stream.

Read again for more understanding. But let it flow.

Vivid writing with creative language that really conveys strong images and moods.

Book dedication is to Gene Kelly. That's interesting.
