every single female character has been described as desirable, and has been explicitly mentioned to have sex/be sexual, or undesirable and explicitly mentioned to be too unattractive in some way for the man to have sex with. Cool zombies are cool but I can't stand this.

Zetian loves victim-blaming. At least there is one woman she talks to (the other woman was a caricature).

For a feminist story, Zetian has not spoken to another woman in real life for the past 120 pages.

The Bald Soprano- I read on wikipedia that Ionesco was inspired by language learning primers (specifically for English). And oh boy, you can tell. As someone attempting to learn a second language, the sentences and phrases you have to parse and work with are nonsensical!
